For the last few days I have been continuing my career and saving it as I leave Wilhelmshaven at the start of my new patrol. I call it a day then I fire up the game the next day to find uplay has not kept my last 3 or 4 saved games and keeps sending me back to a save I had overwritten...
This has happened 3 days in a row.
Anyone else had this issue and know of a fix?
Cheers

I don't know if you are going to be able recovering the lost saves, but from now on I suggest you to uncheck the box "Enable Cloud Save Synchronization" in U-play options (top right button on the U-play screen).
Doing so should avoid future problems with game saves :yep:
Try to turn off cloud save synchronization in the uplay settings. That fixed it for me when i had the same problem :)

This is exactly why I didn't buy SHV until the DRM was relaxed! The notion that you should have to abandon/search for saved games and leave the ultimate approval on whether or not you use the software you payed good money for up to some faceless corporation is ludicrous. If ereryone goes along with this trend it will become the norm :/\\!!.

It's not UPlay that hates us... it's UBI and stupid their way of thinking that everyone is a Pirate and stealing their broken simulationsamd games.

It is a little bit excessive but I believe it's due to the popularity of their more mainstream titles. A niche genre like sub sims (and flight sims) suffer due to Assassin's Creed popularity.
I'm saddened that they went from making fantastic realistic games (Silent Hunter, IL-2, Rainbow Six) to these popcorn cinematic games. There's less stress on player skill and decision making, those things that makes a game a game rather than simply an interactive movie.

I deeply believe what we need now is a smaller software company who wants to steal this niche from Ubi. We may be a niche but we are quite a few, and would surely spend our monies in a state-of-the-art, lovingly coded subsim, wouldn't we?
