Hello,

I own SH3 downloaed from Steam and have a question. I thought in the past changing resolution was as easy as going into the config file and manually changing it. I wish to play the game in 1920x1080. I've since read that a mod is needed. I used to own a disk copy of the game but lost it somewhere hence the steam version. Still I seem to remember going about the resolution change the way I described it. Am I wrong?

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. I can't even find the proper config file anymore. :wah:

this mod isn't working for me.

You need 7 zip to extract the file, it can be found here.

http://7-zip.org/

Extract it to your sh3 install dir; open the d3d9.cfg and change the x;y attributes to your res. Save the file then run the resfix.bat.

All should be well, any questions just hoot :salute:

Ok, first off thanks for responding to my question. I did what you said and installed the entire _DX9HiResFix file to the SH3 root directory. I then when inside the_DX9HiResFix file and clicked on the d3d9 CFG file. There I changed my resolution to what I wanted and then clicked and saved. I then clicked on the DX9HiResFix_Reg file and once it opened up I hit enter.

Is that all correct? I checked ingame and it all looks clearing (at least I think it does), but is there a way to be sure the game is running in 1920x1080 resolution?

Regards....

The best way to check that you are running the game in the higher resolution is to take a screenshot and open it up and check it's size. Screenshots are taken by pressing the print screen key and are saved in the directory you specified in the cfg file. However, if you are running Win 7 some users have experienced problems taking screenshots with this mod. Hope it works OK for you.

All sounds good to me, regarding the test. Try as Nemo suggests. Good luck Kaleun
