Guys sorry for newbie question! I have GW Gold and was looking at map Question is it possbile to proceed and patrol to Narvik or beyond in this game? A follow-up is it possible to encounter ice at any point??? My map seems to end at AE AF and AD sectors thanks!!!!

Go ahead , the Narvik campaign is scripted in GWX.
Yes , it is possible to find icebergs on your way.

So Narvick is in play so it seems as if the problem is with the paper grid maps that came with SH III (which are nice) great I will try it

If I remember correctly the Arctic can be pretty quiet at least in 1942. Some convoys now and then to Murmansk, very little single shipping. But there is a chance of Luftwaffe support (very small though).

Guys no big deal here but I attempt a 41 curise to Murmansk ( not a good time) and Docked at Alta ?? once in dock ship started to recieve damage to all systems I was attempting to refule and then procees to Murmansk no luck here I may attempt an artic venture in 42 but not optimistic about making the effort ( I started in Kiel )

Means you hit Something. To refuel you need to end the mission in that port.

thanks for replys I did end the mission in Alta but still had alll the problems must be an odd bug!!!!!!!!!

Other than the milkcows and supply ships (which worked fine) I have never tried to dock at non-submarine base. Sounds like the location of this port is actually slightly inland or very shallow so the game is trying to put your boat back somewhere that it is grounded. There are ways of changing these locations I think, but I don't personally have the skill. If you are really set on the idea, I'm sure someone will offer you advice on how this could be done.
