i download from the link you gave to my SH5 folder and then tried to open the file to run it and i get a window popping up saying 'windows cannot open this file". Apparently, I do not have a program that opens this 7z type of file.

the exe file for 32 bit or msi file for 64 bit? gives two choices...which one do I d/l?

ok - i somehow got it and extracted the JSGME folder in my SH5 folder. What do I do next? Do i save any mods I d/l to the folder in JSGME called MODS?

Yes You put them into the MOD-Folder. Then aktivate them via JSGME. There is a user guide at SubSim, perhaps You want to read it:

Hi.

If you go to File Front website and go to the silent hunter 4 files there is a generic mod enabler which you can download.

I'ts an older version but it does work with Silent Hunter 5.

Mine does.
