I have just installed gwx gold version and started my first patrol and patrolled the grid for 24 hours and headed back to base didnt get any messages or see any enemy ships. I dont think the war started yet. So I start patrol 2 and get sent to an21 I believe and all of the ports are all still green So is this going to be another boring patrol or do I get to los something soon. Also how do I what flags I can shoot does it tell me at somepoint ?

Yes, I remember my 1st Patrol with GWX. Off I went and ignored the message received that the patrol should be a five day shake down exercise.

The war had not started then and so no targets but it was a good way to get back into the game and prepare for the Happy Times.

You get no renown for carrying out your grid mission but I still go to them because orders is orders and it beats just wandering around.

If you start with the 7th, you will get a radio message after 24 hours telling you to return and transfer to either the 1st or 2nd.
Your second patrol will begin with about ten days or so till the war starts. I take it at real slow speed to the grid and at 128tc. After the first of September it is at 64tc.
At the UZO and the scopes there is a pull down with the nation flags on it and when they enter the war.
