About a year ago I proposed to my now soon-to-be wife and posted pictures up here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=1669665&postcount=17

Well this Saturday, July 21, 2012, we're getting married in an old white church, and starting our lives together.

2012 has been a big year, graduated from college, started my career as a Systems Engineer (Software Developer with extra responsibility), and now getting married.

Things are looking good :D

Best of luck, not that you'll need it, but pass it on to the intended. :salute:

Bastid :)

All the very best to you both for your future lives together Chad :sunny:

Any time you argue in the future (tis inevitable I'm afraid)...simply show her the framed photographic collage you got from your parents a couple of years back and tell her "see that picture in the middle?....jimbuna took that".

Should pee her off no end :O:

Hey thanks for everything guys :) I'm very excited, and a great time in my life.

@Jim, surprised you remembered the collage, good memory you got there :arrgh!:

@Jon, Yeah, I'm not afraid of letting the world know I've found The One. She puts up with my video games and nerd-isms, and even one night when I was having trouble sleeping she asked out of desperation if it would be better if I turned Silent Hunter on to listen to the engines :haha:

Marriage is like a three-ringed circus

First there is the engagement ring
Second there is the wedding ring
Third there is the suffering.

Just remember, a man is incomplete until he gets married. After that he is finished.

3 days, now I'm starting to get nervous, or maybe that's the wrong word. Anxious. Any tips guys?

Yep. Stand there and focus on not looking stupid, and do what you're told. The rest will take care of itself. :sunny:

In fact, that's not bad advice for the rest of your life.

Grooms have been known to pass out during the ceremony so don't set yourself up for that by enjoying your batchelor party too much the night before the wedding.

Nothing to prepare for, it's a unique situation for anybody, a new chapter in life, everyone has some shaking knees before it.
In the history of marriage, everything that could go wrong at weddings, went wrong. So what? What should stop the both of you from tieing the knot? Forgotten rings, a blackout, an alien invasion? No need to be overly nervous, as long as you are sure about your mutual love. This is what matters, everything else is only secondary.

So good luck on Saturday! Go for it! :salute:

A big congratulation from me Chad

Be two about everything and not one that decide everything, that's my advise
(If something has to be bought or something)

All good advice

And about my bachelor party, that was last Friday. Buffalo Wild Wings, a few beers, and poker back at my place. I was up $18 until I got greedy, but all in good fun.

I take my advice from Bill Engvall

In my relationship, we had an agreement from the very start that I, as the man, would be in charge of all the big decisions and The Frau, would be in charge of all the small decisions.

In the 17 years we have been together, there hasn't been a need for a big decision yet. :D

poker back

:hmmm:
I'd not mention 'poke her back' to the soon to be new Wife if I was you.
:haha:

And where's that Limo jimbuna should provide?

Congratulations Chad. You and the new missus will be very happy I'm sure. Be careful with the limo if Jim is organising it. Someone else might want it soon after you're done with it.

The key to a happy life is to keep a happy wife.:03:

Best advice I can think of and don't be nervous all you have to say is your vows and the minister tells you what to say anyway.

Oh and make sure your best man remembers the ring.
