bbc2. on iplayer: World War2 Unearthed. (six days left to watch)
u boats sea planes and spitfires...and spitfire machine guns.
u boat commentary was a bit vague and pro-british. but still worth a watch. :up:
...any one like/dislike it?

I recorded it and watched out the other day, it's little new stuff - there was a thread or two here about the Spit and the Browning - but still worthy of an hour of your time.
I didn't know about the Empire freighter (can't recall which one) with the tanks on, all just lying there 'like a knocked over toy box'!
It's another program I've yet to try and get onto my PC, if I ever succeed I'll stick it on a DVD and we can round-robin it through the Subsim crew.

I watched this the other day and as you say worth an hour of your time to watch. Some good underwater shots of the freighter sunk by a u-boat in 1944 with all those tanks scattered along the seabed. An interesting story about the spitfire pilot who was interned in Ireland after crash landing over the border with Northern Ireland. I also liked the footage of the Sunderland one of my favourite aircraft of WWII.
