Change sub type for single play mission

Hi Guys - need some help.

I chaecked the form but couldn't find the answer.

I’m playing a single player mission which takes place in 1943 but when I access the single player mission menu and highlight the specific mission I always end up in a sub from 1939, with only 3 tirp tubes. How do I change the type of sub to reflect the time period I’m in – 1943?

Right under where you select the mission, there is another similar list. Your U-Boot is highlighted. There are two arrows. One goes up and the other goes down. You use those to select your U-Boot.

Thanks for your quick reply. I tried that – I highlighted the IIA 1943 U-boat –but when the mission starts I‘m in the 1939 U-boat with only 3 tubes. What else can I do to change the U-Boat typeo or how can I correct this? Is there a patch I missed?

Also- regarding the use of the Generic Mod Enabler: where do I put the mod enabler and the Mod folder? Do I put it in the Programs/Ubisoft/Silent Hunter III folder or does it go some place else?

Install JSGME to your Silent Hunter 3 folder and it will work.

All the type II boats have 3 torpedo tubes. You probably are in the 1943 boat. The only difference I see is the crew and on some boats, equipment. Snorkel, radar, decoys, etc.
