Hey Kaleun's. Im new here at subsim, i've been playen Silent hunter III for a while now. I started playing Silent hunter 5, but realised that it was'nt any good. Then bought SH3 downloaded GWX3 and i am enjoying it a lot! I've also been reading here on the forums for at while, and finally decided i would say hello. Yesterday i came back from my best patrol ever, with about 155.000 tons. I started a new career after i played my last from 1440 to 1444. But then i headed for Scapa flow in 1939, and i found HMS Nelson, HMS Hood and a revenge class there, it took me 2 eels each to sink Nelson and Hood. But the revenge class got 3 eels at the bow. And headed home where sank a Ore carrier. So i guess i've joined the 100k Club!

But other than that, Hello and nice to meet you guys. I hope im gonna have a good time here at Subsim :)

Poor Sloop, whatever did it do to upset you?

Did you ram it? :P

I didnt think that Floating Docks counted as ships. Come on, who sinks a floating dock for tonnage? :06:

Oh, by the way, WELCOME ABOARD! :ahoy:

The sloop had been annoying over a longer period, so i used my last eel on it :D

WELCOME ABOARD! :sunny:

What mods are you using, and what difficulty level are you playing at. It's quite easy to sink 100,000 tons in a patrol, and many players have over one million tons under their belts. If you're playing NYGM at 100%, then it's impressive. If not, then you're part of a very large crowd.

I like to talk about my experience with Sid Meier's Pirates. I turned the entire Spanish Main into the English Main...on level 3. On level four I never survived more than a week.

I'm using GWX 3.0. And i cant remeber my realism %.. But i would like to crank it up a bit, but i dont know how to do manually targetting and stuff like that (:

Don't get me started on my exploits in the carribean! Arrrrrrggh! :arrgh!:

And welcome to SUBSIM RazorBlade! That is a pretty lucky patrol from my point of view. The bigger ships always seem to elude my plucky crew. And I trust that the sloop was harbouring political enemies? :har:

To leave the sloop afloat might have severe political ramifications. You see, according to naval intelligence, that was an undercover german agent's boat. He was planning to defect. It would have been an embarrassment to the german goverment. Haha. Theres a story on why to sink Sloops.

HEY! There is NOTHING wrong with raiding ports. :D I do it all the time. Taking a II boat into Scapa most recently.

(with no success because of the torpedo malfunctions)

I can deal with malfunctions if i have more than 5 torpedoes. Like a VII boat. Or even better, IX and XXI.

That depends on whether you prefer to simulate the real war or just play a game. :O:

I throw different ideas around. :D Maybe i like raiding ports, maybe i want to hit one on the way to patrol zone. Im rather fond of the port of Calais early in the war. Scapa Flow isnt bad, except my II boat has all the torp malfunctions. Only 2-3 of my 5 torps work. I know where exactly where the HMS Hood is, but I only get 1-2 torps in it. Then it lights up. I even tried various forms of ramming it. Straight on, at an angle, surfacing underneath.... :wah: None of it worked. I WANT MY 31000 TONS!!! :yep:

I'm beginning to leave the ports alone, because i think its to boring. Its a real turkey shoot...
