I have now played three patrols in the East Mediterranean and have only seen small convoys of 2 - 6 ships. No single ships, no big convoys. The experience is from October 1941 to December 1941.

Is this how it is in the Mediterranean? I would like to have a chance of attacking a big convoy - and it would not hurt to have some low risk target practice against single ships as well. :ping:

Do I need to transfer myself to the Atlantic or what? I would think that there would need to be big convoys in the Mediterranean at least from 1943 onwards as historically the allies would have needed to transport troops and supplies to Sicily and Italy.

According to GWX 3.0 Manual:
Allied invasion convoys will move to their historical invasion areas:
• Operation Husky (Sicily: July 1943)
• Operation Avalanche (Salerno: September 1943)
• Operation Slapstick (Taranto: September 1943)
• Operation Shingle (Anzio: January 1944)
Several historical convoys will resupply and replenish the defence of Malta and the British Eighth Army in North Africa. Be aware the Allies consider these convoys critical to winning the war in the Mediterranean and will guard them accordingly.
Gibraltar – Malta
• Operation Excess (January 1941)
• Operation Substance (July 1941)
• Operation Style (August 1941)
• Operation Halberd (September 1941)
• Operation Harpoon (June 1942)
• Operation Pedestal (August 1942)
Gibraltar - Alexandria
• Operation Tiger (May 1941)
Alexandria – Malta
• Operation Vigorous (June 1942)
• Operation Stoneage (November 1942)
• Operation Portcullis (December 1942)
Allied convoy traffic reacts to historical events:
• Support of Allied troops in Greece following Operation Lustre, starting in March 1941
• Assists the evacuation of Allied forces from Greece to Egypt in April 1941
• Assists the evacuation of Allied forces from Crete to Egypt (Operation Demon) in May 1941
• Uses small warships to resupply Tobruk from Alexandria during historical sieges by the Deutsches Afrika Korps (DAK), effective May 1941
• Support of Allied troops in Sicily following Operation Husky, starting in July 1943
• Support of Allied troops in Italy through Naples and Taranto following Operations Avalanche and Slapstick, starting in October 1943
• Support of Allied troops in Greece following Operation Manna, starting in October 1944

Damn I think I really should have read the manual more thoroughly

Thanks allievo :salute:

I think I'll hang around the Mediterranean. It seems I might get through 1942 by harrassing Malta and in 1943 there will be action everywhere.
