I started a new career out of Konigsberg and transferred to Kiel for war patrols. It started me on like August 24th I think. Around August 26th I received a message from the Lehmann-Willenbrock news that comes with GWX that the British Fleet has sortied and London is being evacuated. This event did not take place on the 26th when I receive the message but actually on the 31st of August of 1939. I found the messages_en file in the campaigns folder in my SHIII directory and changed the date to 19390831 but I still get the message on the 26th. Is there another file I need to change data on for the message to be received on the correct date? I get the feeling I'm missing something

There should be two dates - the first one is the date (and time) that SH3 will start sending the message, the second is the date (and time) that it finishes sending the message.

You'll need to change both dates in order to get the message on the right day, with an appropriate time window (6 to 8 hours).

Do you have any JSGME or SH3 Commander mods that might overwrite the file? You can check by loading the game, alt-tabbing out of the game and going back into the messages_en file to see whether the changes are still there once the game has loaded.
