Anyone listening to the Nadal game? Out in the second round to the unheard of Rosol? Wow. Great game. I wonder how far this lad will go. He's 100 in the world. Started slow but he just got better and better. That was a real upset. Superb.

Well, right now he looks as if he is about to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory so in one regard at least he as British as the rest of us wherever we're from! :D
I take it back. Congratulations to Murray! I thought he was going to do down in flames once again but he pulled it out in that last set. Fedderer in the final. He can beat him too.

caught part of the fed v Djo match, another classic. Fed is beautiful to watch when he is on fire.
Who to root for?

Just heard on tv that Murray has played Federer 15 times and has won 8 of them so he obviously has a good chance on Sunday.
For the record I don't give a toss about him..He bores me to death. :zzz:
When I come to power I will out law Wimbledon as toffs like Toff boy Cameron watch it. BoseMark will be in the detector van hunting these toffs down and armed to the teeth. :D :ping:

yes, Murray is one of the rare players on the circuit who can beat Federer regularly, even a few years back when Federer was more dominant.
Murray is a great player, 4th best in the world. His misfortune is that he is playing at the same time as Djokovic, Nadal and Federer. D and N have been sucking all the oxygen out of the room for the past 2 1/2 years and Federer picks up whatever is left.
Federer knows this is probably his last chance to win a career Grand Slam. He will be 31 next month, the same age Sampras was when he retired in 2002. All his contemporaries are retired or far back in the rankings. Age is catching up to him, its only his great skills that still keeps him competitive.
In his match against Djokovic, he was like a Great White, circling, waiting for the kill.
...still, I would only give him 6:5 odds against Murray in the finals, should be a great match.

Federer won the 2nd set 7-5. He upped his play in this set, made a lot less error, Murray made a few more, but is playing well, this will be a close one.

yes, good first set, but then Fed chewed him up.
Murray has the technical skills, but doesnt seem to have the mental toughness/killer instinct to win the big ones. I used to think it was lack of maturity, but at 25, he sould be at his peak.

I still reckon he'll eventually achieve a grand slam win but they will probably be few and far between seeing as who is in his peer group.

At this rarefied level that us hackers cannot comprehend, experience is key. Federer and Murray had never played on Grass before, but he was fairly rapidly able to adjust his game to take advantage of Murray's weak points and take control of the match.
All i know about Wimbledon this year.
1) The bloke with the long head lost, his mother also has a long head and looks about as warm and loving as Robocop.
Thats why he lost I guess, not enough love - apparently you need lots of Love to win at Tennis.
2) Some people played some Tennis
3) The wombles live there, i wonder if they like Tennis?
