I recently decided to load up SH3. Always one of my favourite games.

I was lucky as just as I decided to play a new career, WWII started. What a coincidence!

On my 6th mission, I got a little antsy. Found a nice juicy ore carrier. Plotted its course, set my my approach, everything worked out great.

Four torpedoes launched via Fast 90. No dudes..... unfortunately.

The bad news was that after the second torpedo hit, was when I noticed that the red flag on the ore carrier was not British, but German.

Oh this is not going to look good back home.:oops:

Normally I play DiD but that is for enemy caused deaths. I don't think DiD should encompass being killed and served up as tomorrows hash at the BDU cafeteria.

Good thing my finger slipped and I accidentally crashed out of that mission. Now I have no choice but to reload my last mission from my base. :D

Yikes. I guess not every ship near England should be considered enemy/neutral.

But what the heck was a German ore carrier doing in that area. And whose brilliant idea was it for Britain and Germany to use predominately red flags anyway???

Four torpedoes hit, down goes 7,800 tons but the wrong tons. :/\\!!

So if anyone from BDU asks you, I was just out for a training dive, OK?

Either that , or face the black dressed SS squad waiting for you upon return instead of the cheering crowd. :D

'The' war may be over, but I think 'his' war is just beginning. Not to worry though - it should be short. :D

I once accidentally sunk a hospital ship. At night. In rainy weather. With no moon.
I was CERTAIN it was a troop transport.
Found out when I got back to base and was summarily execut .. er .. retired.
I accepted my loss that time. live and learn.
:shucks:
EDIT: it was one of my earliest fully manually plotted attacks. s'why I let it stand.

I am sure you can kiss your stern goodby. Grab your P 38 and and have a gun cleaning accident. Do into your self before others do it for you.:rotfl2:
