What he says about the gap between the cylinder and the barrel on the revolver is true to some extent though the gases lost do not make a huge difference.The
M1895 Nagant revolver is the only mass produced revolver to have been designed to counter this gas loss.The fact that almost no other revolvers have been produced with a gas seal design to me implies that there must not be much ballistic gain to make it worth while.
