Good day everyone.

I just installed a torpedo mod, and I am curious if the damage is "realistic". I find myself sinking destroyers with one shot, when I hadn't had that happen before.

I'm not going to say what mod, because I don't want to sound critical of ANY work done for this wonderful simulation.

Everyone who has dedicated their time to create mods for us to use, deserves our thanks and not be criticized.

Everyone has their own opinion of what makes "the best".

What torpedo damage mods do YOU use, to help achieve realism.

There were a handful of destroyers which took a torpedo and didn't sink, and at least one which took two torpedoes without sinking. By-and-large, however, one should do it. If it doesn't sink with one it should still be unable to fight, only waiting to be towed home at some point.

Thank you again Steve. As I said in another thread, you and some of the other veterans here are remarkable with your knowledge and assistance.

Nut, go into the Museun and go thru all the ships.... US and British at least. Write down the type and draft. This will allow you to set the magnetic pistol and fire just under the hull. Usually for the smaller warships and cargo shipping you can break their hull in two with one torpedo. It can work for larger ships, but not all that often unless they're heading to Great Britian loaded. It's the only way it's ever worked for me.
