I never knew the words to that piece. Now I know and knowing is half the battle.

If you want to have a few more laughs over mis-heard lyrics, try this site:

Some of the entries on the site are mind-boggling...

And at least one of them is an out-and-out lie. Another One Rides The Bus was not a misheard lyric but a spoof by Weird Al Yankovic.

It appears Al owes his rise to fame on that song:

Dead-thread resurrection, but I'm just listening to 'Constant Gravy' by k.d. lang. on Radio 2. At least I think that's it.

I was going to say:
"Who says they are "mis-heard", some of them strangley make sense (relative to the one before)... :hmmm::haha:

Then I read this:

Went out to a karaoke bar in college with a bunch of friends. One girl gets up on stage, and starts singing along to the music (https://www.google.com/search?q=tubthumping), very loudly and with gusto, as she obviously thinks she knows the lyrics:

"I get Knocked up! But I get over it!"

We were rolling on the floor laughing.

We used to have an friend who always sang along to Paul Young's 'Every Time You Go Away...'

'...you take a piece of meat with you.'

I thought it a good suggestion, myself.
