Early war SJ radar

ok, i left port on July 26th 1942 with a new set of SJ radar and i was lookin forward to seeing the battle of savo island, but now that I am there ive noticed that my surface radar wont work, i still get air radar contacts and sound, but nothing on SJ and when going to the radar station i am unable to turn either set on as well as the menu bar at the bottom are both blacked out. Is this a bug? Im running 1.5 with TMO and RSRD

The only thing I can think of to check, is to make sure your radar installed.

The only thing that kept it from working, for myself, was thinking I had it, when it didn't take.

If it shows that you have it installed on the boat, then I can only think it is a bug. Hopefully you still have your saved game from entering or exiting base. If need be, go back to one of those save points, and reload your SJ set, and verify that it is installed before getting to your destination.

ya its installed. I am going to finish this patrol and try to uninstall/reinstall on this boat or a new one once i get back to port.

still finding juicy targets with just sound contacts while patroling known shipping lanes.

I guess ill update after to notify if it worked. thanx for the help tho

Okay, if it's installed on the boat, then it must be a bug, or RSRD may be interfering, as TMO solo hasn't done that so far for me.

Good goin' on the intercepts with hydrophones only though!

I am also noticing this. The first time I patrolled with the SJ it worked just fine. when I got back to port I toggled through all the upgradable systems on the boat and discovered the twin 20mm had reverted to the single and the SJ radar had been unfitted. I refitted all systems which were removed between the first and second patrol and went back out. I now have no SJ on a Salmon class boat even though I had it on the first Salmon patrol. I also noticed the SJ radar antenna is missing from the 3D model. Also I had a conning tower refit. I've noticed this bug happening many times before on other campaigns but am posting about it now. If this is an unavoidable bug or if there is a fix could anyone let me know what it is? Thanks in advance.

I think I remember reading about this. It's a bug that comes with the conning tower refit. I don't think there is anything that can be done.:/\\!!
