I'm not happy to see frugality associated with Obama, it's a quality I can admire. :D

It's not funny only for those who vote for the Democrats.

We had it in Poland years ago. It turned out that our Prime Minister smoked weed and beat his wife a few times.
While the vast majority of the Polish society condemns both taking drugs and beating wives, when the aforementioned sensations were revealed, people said: hey, smoking one or two and slapping your wife isn't actually that bad....

sick morality - that's how I call it.

Smoking weed - not bad.

Hitting your wife - very bad.

name me one politician running for office right now who is 40+ and has never tried pot or any other recreational drugs, you can be certain that is one person I would never vote for.

if he still using drugs while in office, that is a different story. I would not want a president who has access to nuclear launch codes dropping acid. :o

He is refering to the Grojanowski report on the Labour camp at Konin, Death camp in Chelmno and Jewish Ghetto in Warsaw which were all in Poland.
Though he may also be refering to the follow up by the same author about the death camp in Belzec Poland.

Would you have a problem with him calling Jasenovac a Yugoslavian death camp?

nope. he can't be referring to three camps which you enumerated because he uses singular "camp". He says:"...into the Warsaw Ghetto and a Polish death camp."
For me it's pretty obvious that he is referring to camps run by the Nazis, tho the phrase "Polish death camps" has already appeared in the Western newspapers (mostly French and probably one British tabloid) so many times, and the Polish Foreign Office has protested against this abuse, that it's kinda unacceptable to use this phrase on such a level of "diplomacy".
The one who prepared the speech for Obama knew that it was a mistake bcoz the journalists after the ceremony were given a changed text with "Polish death camps" replaced by "Nazi temporary death camp" (or smth similar).
"Nazi death camps in Poland" is not equal to "Polish death camps". Using the adjective implies that they were run by the Poles while they were not. Though, I agree that there were cases when Poles supported Germans in killing Gypsies and Jews. And they were not even marginal cases. But saying a "Polish death camp" cannot be justified.

Would you have a problem with him calling Jasenovac a Yugoslavian death camp?
Yes, I would. Simply bcoz there is no such a nation as "Yugoslavians". It was an abuse done by Tito.
Wiki clearly states who is responsible for the atrocities which took place there- Croatian Ustashe. There is no need to generalize about it.

Obama was seen reading this phrase off a teleprompter.

:haha: No! it can't be true!
