24 hours with the British and their Afghan National Army counterparts.

The BBC's Ben Anderson spends 24 hours in Afghanistan's bloody Helmand Province and walks into a firefight.Part One (http://www.youtube.com/watch?list=UL1_yOI_WVGdY&feature=player_detailpage&v=1_yOI_WVGdY)
Part Two (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1JNuFPiTbs&feature=relmfu)

I really think this is a good film and decided to share the links here. This is footage that a BBC journalist brought back from Afghanistan. He is being interviewed by Shane Smith (vice.com, vbs.tv) while they both watch the film, so as the film plays Ben gives his narrative and you get a pretty good idea of what's going on as things happen. What I really like the most about this film, aside from the intensity (yes, I'm an adrenaline junkie), is the overall attitude of these soldiers and how they go about their business. Especially the attitude they have toward their Afghan trainees. This is really well done. It's a day in the life of some guys doing their job, and that's all there is to it.

Should be safe for most audiences. There is no gore in this. However, given the nature of their situation there is some strong language from time to time, but nothing you wouldn't ordinarily hear after someone accidentally mashes their thumb with a hammer.

Each part is about twenty minutes long. You might get a political ad at the beginning of each segment, but it can be skipped after five seconds. ;)

Good stuff krashkart. Really shows the absurdity of war in general, and this one in particular. Doesn't look good when our guys pull out.

Good post.
