So I had mentioned what if we could have a subsim podcast in the Facebook group chat. We got a general idea that it was a good idea. I figured we should make a post as a group to get feedback on this. We are thinking of using this as maybe a way to promote subsim? any suggestions?

Well, there always new on subs, I will look at the royal navy as I'm British and I'm looking to join anyway.

Two comments:

1). Those of us who don't / refuse to use fb, will we be left out?

2) how would a podcast bring any new info that browsing the front page and the forums doesn't already provide?

1. Not sure, but I think it would be available off FB.
2. A podcast may not always produce new or unique content but the delivery and personalities in the podcast, say an interview of a Subsim member, would be unique and entertaining.

I'm not sure what andwii has in mind with his podcast concept. I know on another website, the podcast host arranges to interview long standing and new members of the group, it's fun to listen to.

im thinking something along the lines of Trekcast, and not my dads podcast Huntcast. He has a lot of experience and can help us.

podcast would be awesome :up: but hopefully modern-naval stuff like Dangerous Waters would also be a part of it...

Also stuff like tips for mission design and mod development could be part of it.

any idea of introduction music and breaks for commercials? Has to be public domain and I want something that could be used on a uboat. Any sugestions?

Firstly, how long do you plan on these podcasts to be to have commercials in them? :o

Secondly, who would want to be in a commercial in the middle of a SUBSIM podcast?

And thirdly - OK so I'm overstreching with three things. But something'll spring to mind soon to be number three. :-?

Idk its something my dad always did. Anyway if we get this going I am guessing one hour every 2-4 weeks?
