Steel Panthers and Panzer General are particularly good. Panzer General has a new remake but the old one is still available out there IIRC.
TOAW is also very good, Raptor can give you more details on it as he has it whereas my copy disappeared many moons ago, annoyingly.

These allegations are...no, wait, that's true.

Well, it depends a lot on several factors. First, how complex or detailed a game you are looking for, at what scale and about which theater you're looking for.

If you're looking for a tactical wargame, with units on the scale of squads, then there's little I can recommenced besides Steel Panthers. Not only is it an excellent, if somewhat complex, game series, it has three current releases, two of which are set in World War II and all of which are free. See WinSPWW2 (http://www.shrapnelgames.com/Camo_Workshop/WW2/WW2_page.html), WinSPMBT (http://www.shrapnelgames.com/Camo_Workshop/MBT/MBT_page.html) and SP:WAW (http://www.matrixgames.com/products/297/downloads/). The former two are the better games in my opinion, but they're all free so you can decide for yourself.

As for operational-level games, there's a lot more to choose from. There's a free direct remake of Panzer General called Panzer General Forever (http://panzercentral.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=98&t=45039) if you want something simple, as well as a modern (but non-free) remake called Panzer Corps (http://www.matrixgames.com/products/399/details/Panzer.Corps.), which I haven't played but heard good things about.

On the more complex side, I can definitely recommend The Operational Art of War III (http://www.matrixgames.com/products/317/details/Norm.Koger%27s.The.Operational.Art.of.War.III). It's not strictly a World War II game, but the vast majority of the scenarios are about World War II. Air and naval combat in the game is pretty abstracted, but the land combat system is very good and the game has a huge assortment of scenarios on most fronts and theaters. If you want a demonstration of how it looks and plays (sort of), then allow me to shamelessly direct you to my completed (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=185765) and not-completed-and-doesn't-look-like-it-will-ever-be (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=192040) AARs.

Besides that, War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition (http://www.matrixgames.com/products/351/details/War.in.the.Pacific.-.Admiral%27s.Edition) is also an excellent operational-scale game with a heavy focus on air and naval operations, but it is very expensive and complicated, and only focuses on one theater. There are a lot more, so if you have any specific preferences for the things I mentioned earlier, it would help narrow the amount of options down.
