OK. Long time player of SH1/2. Decided to revisit the franchise and download IV from Steam when it was on special offer.
So. I started downloading SH4 Wolves of the Pacific then got reading about the modding that tended to prefer v1.5 included with the UBM expansion. This was on offer at Steam too so I started it downloading then went to bed.
Woke up this morning and UBM had installed but SH4 WotP seemed to have paused downloading. Clicked on the link to UBM and it seemed to run ok. In the meantime I've cancelled the install of the Wolves of the Pacific.
Question is, have I got the full 1.5 version? Where do I find the version number? Secondly have I got a borked install? There seems to be campaigns available for US and German but no standalone missions for Germany. Should I have installed one at a time. Is the U Boat expansion standalone complete with the original game on Steam?
Second question, when I get this sorted out does the modding work ok with a Steam install?
Sorry to sound like such a numpty but herein lies a lesson for doing something without thinking it through first.
Oh, Hi everyone by the way.... o7 :-)
