Game Crashing

Hello Everyone,

Just got a new computer and trying to run the SH IV, WOP, Gold edition game. I've downloaded/installed JSGME in the game and activate Ducimus's TMO 2.5. I started a career and able to select a crew. I plotted a course on the nav map. But when I went to the Bridge or Attack periscope, the game would crash. I removed everything from the activated mods to available mods in JSGME. And re-started the game and the game crashed when I went to the attack periscope station again. So my question is, do I need better a video card than the one I have (Intel Q35 Express Chipset Family) and if so, what kind? I don't have alot of cash to spend now, so what do you think I could get?

My computer's profile is:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duc 2.33 GHz
Memory: 2GB (with slots three and four empty)
Hard Drive: 750GB

I had an old pc, I tried the game on that and had similar problems...it turned out to be the video card. Have you tried starting outside port and sail out to where no land or other ships are before going to the bridge? I did that and noticed when I went to the bridge my game wouldn't crash but my Boat was "invisible". Even the site of a seagull would crash the game.

Also, I may be mistaken, but I think there's a 4GB download mod here on the forums.

Thank you Donna52522 for your reply. In one attemp, I sailed out of Midway into open ocean by plotting a course to my mission objective, stopped the boat and waited to make sure there no contacts before going to the bridge. Screen went black and back to the desktop. I'm going to check out the 4GB mod that you refer to.
