Problem With Game Settings

I started a new career in both the American and German campains in SHIV WOP Gold, I adjusted the game play settings to 65, and then hit apply. When prompted are you sure I hit yes.

Then headed off on my patrol, the settings never applied, that became apparant when I was underwater and driving at flank speed.

Could this be a bug or have I some how missed something. I'm running RSRD, and some mods.

Did you set the options from the office or main menu?

From the main menu, they won't apply.

If you are in the middle of the ocean, go to your SH4 folder in Documents.

Open the data folder, and open the cfg Folder.

The file you want, is GameplaySettings.cfg

Open it with notepad, or wordpad. change the word false to true for any of the settings there.

But once you start a new campaign, always check the options from the office before starting the first mission. I still forget from time to time. Especially if I have to do a re-install.

That's weird. Once you hit apply changes, it should be fine :hmmm:

Try looking at the GameplaySettings.cfg file in you SH4 document file, and see if the settings for true match up with what you wanted.

I too was thinking that you forgot to chance options in the pre-patrol office. If you did, then this is a bug of some sort.

I had another go and it worked this time. I tested it by sailing underwater and watching the battery drain.

Now I've saved a game (at sea) and will check it again.

Yup about game play options not taking effect. I tested that thy had by going under and ramping up TC, then watched the meter going down.
