You Are Welcome aboard.

You will be joining a contest that will start on June. 1st and end on the last day of September. There will be a subsim store prize awarded to the winner.(The break will allow for training tutorials)

The contest is based on your requesting a patrol Grid from Bdu. You can do as many patrols as you want. If you are Playing SHIII/GWX during April of 1939, or any other year, you may keep that same game play date or start fresh in 1939. All patrols will be determined by historic convoy routs and U-Boot type

You must start on June 1st. from a base and return to that base to get points for the patrol. On your return you must report your patrol results to Bdu. You may then start another patrol. When you arrive at your patrol grid you may or may not find your target based on your navigation and hunting skills.

Even though you may not find the target you must remain on the grid for 24 hours at which time you return to base and request another patrol. All tons sunk while you are en-rout or returning to base will count depending on contest criteria. Any ships sunk outside your en rout/return rout will not be counted

When you finish a patrol you must take a screen shot of the Captains Profile/or log from SHIII Commander to confirm patrol and tons sunk.

If you want to join us in the contest please let us know via our “New Recruit” thread at our sub-forum prior to June. 1, 2012. We will need your screen name, Commanders name, U-Boot # and U-Boot type.

We play Dead is Dead. When you DID you may change your Commanders name but not your U-Boot number. Any points obtained prior to DID will not count. You will have to start over.

We do not travel higher then 128TC and do not use super U-Boots or ammo. Other then that all mods are up to you.

There are point penalties for not playing at 100% realistic.

There are no stupid questions only stupid Commanders who fail to ask questions.

Cheers

So is this a straight up marathon? See who can kill more ships and survive longer? Or is there something else you're going to grade the Kaleun on?

If its just about number of ships sunk based on an unlimited number of patrols with one Kaleun then sounds like we're playing blackjack. Go too far into the war trying to get more tonnage and you'll lose everything and lose to someone who called it quits in 43'.

No. There are criteria and rules. The game is based on you being given a patrol grid and no warp higher then 128. You can not surf the ocean for ships. You must complete your patrol as ordered or no points. Points are also given for difficulty of play. We play DID and if you are Dead you have to start again.
