Dead Re-conning?

How can I de-activate/delete those charts or memos pages in black when receiving dead re-conning position marks.
They are not very useful for me and get in the way of my measurements and readings for prosecuting torpedo attacks.
At times I do replace them with pencil marks but that gets old quickly.

So dead re-conning is not very usefull to you. Ok. You should do some basic training first. The magic word is Dead reckoning, man, Dead Reckoning. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_reckoning) It really hurts when clueless ***** try to play an u-boat commander.

I did not say that Dead re-conning was not helpful. Yes it gives my location from where I can navigate, get information of enemy ships etc. I am talking about eliminating the black field that that comes with the location marker.
I don`t mind criticism when it`s positive. I have only played this game for a few months and in that time I have asked many dumb questions, i`m sure. What was rewarding was all the positive response I have gotten from everyone,until now, including some of the best MOD makers here on this site. They were very patient and supportive, without their help I would have given up a long time ago.

I never included a way to disable those 'popups'. Maybe they should be on a timer...say once the mouse hovers over them for x amount time then they pop up :hmmm:

The only thing that works for me is replacing the DR X with my pencil`s X than deleting the pop-up ...that way the DR location is replaced with the pencil` X. Now I can read the ships range, my heading , and the all important AOB is now in the clear where I can read the solution. I`m now learning RAOBF which I hope will eliminate some of those problems.

A quick comment. Just stick with the Kapitan zur Sees like TDW. He really goes to the limit when someone is having an issue, (believe me I know).
Most all of the Kaleuns on this site really like to help out the players trying to get their play just right.

maybe you are used to "other" game forums but here at SUBSIM we are adults who treat others with respect and try to be helpfull.

jumping into a thread just to take the oportunity to insult someone rather then offer something to that thread is not acceptable here so please remember that in the future

everyone likes different things about the game and plays it their own way
