Well actually it's been quite a while since I last played SHIII and as my name applies, I am a little rusty, not having put to sea for more than four years now. I did purchase SH4 and SH5 when they were released, but was not very keen of having to have to go on line to play the latter game in this series. In fact it was so full of bugs when first released, it was difficult to enjoy playing. The only good thing about it was the improved graphics and being able to interact with the crew and wander through the whole boat, other than that, I was not impresed.

So I have cast SH5 to one side and am just now getting back to my favourite SHIII again. It's surprising how much a novice you can become when you havent played for such a while and it's almost like becoming a newbie again. I have GWX Gold installed, which is an excellent mod, together with Thompsons sound mod, which brings SHIII/GWX more alive so to speak. I notice that there have been lots more mods since I last played the game, but most of them are not compatable with GWX.

I have SHIII/GWX installed on my main hard drive C (Windows XP). Is it possible to have a separate install on my external hard drive H, so that I can install SHII with the NYGM V3 mod as another option to play either version?

Anyway its great to back again on the Subsim Scene, now that I am retired and can spend more time with the sim, than I could do previously.

Yes. There's a utility called multi sh3. There's a couple threads on it.
