I know this is from last year but love it lol. I watch the house of commons on CSPAN now and then, actually think I would prefer it if our President had to directly debate with our house(although he is not a member of congress), would make things interesting for sure and possibly cut down on BS from both sides as it's more difficult to spew all lies when your opponent is directly in front of you ready to pounce. Also, this was not sexist lol stupid PC people get all worked up.

We have a very similar system down here and the BS spewed directly at one another from both sides of the house is astounding to watch. Never think a politician can't BS to your face.

George Washinton tried presenting bills directly to Congress. They treated him so roughly no president has tried since.

It may be a house of liars, cheats and idiots, but it can be quite entertaining at times...if only it didn't have such a big effect on our lives.

I like the current Speaker of the House, he's quite funny, the one before him was useless, but none of them so far have been able to beat Betty, the lioness of the house.

True, but would be nice if they would try.

He is a sexist pig, a bloody filthy dirty minded upper class toff who calls women nice bit of totty and your place is in the home doing the cooking.

He is also raciest against the working class.

Just in case anyone was like me and wondering what the heck STEED just said. :88)

Toff

The word "toff" is thought to come from the word "tuft", which was a gold tassel worn by titled undergraduates at Oxford University or Cambridge University. The Anglo-Saxon word "toforan" has a meaning of "superiority". It is possible the derivation of "toff" is earlier than is generally supposed.
Other origins include the abbreviation of "toffee-nosed" This originates from the 19th century, where it was common for men of a higher class to use snuff. The use of snuff often caused the men's nose to leak a toffee-like nasal mucus. The men are thought to have tilted their heads slightly upwards to counteract this and from this action people would say "stuck up".

Totty

(UK, slang, English) sexually attractive women considered collectively; usually connoting a connection with the upper class. (slang, English) an individual sexually attractive woman

Well in this instance you have to be more specific.
He used a line as a put down that was taken from someone else.
When that other person was using the line they were described as being patronising and sexist.
That would suggest that Dave by borrowing the line is very detatched from reality or sexist or both.
Given his performance I would say "both" is the only credible answer.

Git, Etymology

From Middle English 'get' (offspring", especially "illegitimate offspring). A southern variant of Scots 'get' (illegitimate child, brat), related to beget. (from Online Etymology Dictionary)

Git, Noun

git (plural*gits)
(UK, slang, pejorative) A contemptible person.
(UK, slang, pejorative) A silly, incompetent, stupid, annoying or childish person.

'Git' is usually used as an insult, more severe than twit but less severe than a true profanity like wanker or arsehole, and may often be used affectionately between friends. 'Get' can also be used, with a subtle change of meaning. 'You cheeky get!' is slightly less harsh than 'You cheeky git!'.

'Git' is frequently used in conjunction with another word to achieve a more specific meaning. For instance a "smarmy git" refers to a person of a slimy, ingratiating disposition; a "jammy git" would be a person with undeserved luck. The phrase "grumpy old git", denoting a cantankerous old man, is used with particular frequency.

In parts of northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland, 'get' is still used in preference to 'git'.

The word has been ruled by the Speaker of the House of Commons to be unparliamentary language.
