Ahoy!, my name is Martin and I'm honored to be able to join such a prestigious forum. I had lurked for just long enough to surmise that this is "the" place to be. Having been lucky enough to visit Germany in 1981, it was seeing the U-1 up close and personal that sealed a life-long submarine fascination. Although I have never played many video games, it is an intrigueing prospect. I am a builder of plastic models for 39 years, and hope to someday scratch-build some Great War boats.

Thank you all very much, it's great to be here. I spent the winter building a selection of 32 Russian tanks in 1/35 for two new display cases. As soon as the 25 unpainted ones are ready, I'll post pics. I really want to build 1/72 submarines, but the selection is still too thin. Nobody is making a decent kit of any of the larger ocean-going u-boats, it's still only the Revell VIIC or those Lindberg kits of the Japanese I-20 and I-53.
