I always thought Home Waters referred to the main islands of Japan.

It depends on where you are in relation to Truk. I believe the main entrance channel is to the north end but I guess it depends on how accurate the layout of the game Truk is.

The North entrance is the best to sneak into. No nets there (in the channel) and it is ~200 feet deep.

If you're using RSRD or TMO most traffic uses the SW wider narrow entry at Truk, the other passes are basically too narrow to get groups through, cept some do you the south pass which is a lil wider. If you're expecting convoys from home waters, sit about 20nms NNE of the wider SW pass.
They're no subnets at Truk.

If your okay with harbor raiding, you might want to take a stealthy run through truk, theres usally some nice ships waiting for you :arrgh!:

I don't remember where I found subnets (the hard way):dead:
"Home waters" refers to the water around Japan. I was just there at that time with the same message about the convoys. I missed finding the first 2 but lucked into the last one, 5 unescorted merchants that found their way to the bottom of the ocean.:D About 12 hours later a escort carrier followed them to the bottom. (hint: look to the NW of Truk and wait past the due date of 18 Dec.)
