Where did my RM go?

I recently began playing 100% realism and I just got my first lock with a merchant.
When it was time to identify my target I could not locate my recognition manual. Sometimes it is very close to the edge of my screen but I always managed to drag it out. I also could not locate a key assignment for it. Is the RM not available because i`m play 100% realism....if not where the heck is it. I use it mostly to check my target`s draft. :hmmm:

Use TDW'S UI mod there is an option which allows you to autoidentify targets.

However I would still like to know why I lost my default RM and why I lost it? I`ts just part of the process of learning for me.:know:

Your stock RM should still be available. SOAN should also be available if you're using my UIs mod. If you are using my UIs mod delete all the Pagex_Draggables.TDW files from your \Silent Hunter 5 folder to reset all the draggable positions.

I thought you added a RM that includes all ships. The default RM only shows a few select ships. Am I missing something?

I did. That is SOAN (Ships Of All Nations). You'll find SOAN when you click the maps icon in the top right lower bar. You'll have to drag it out from the upper left side of the screen (just a little brown tab will be showing initially)

Which TDW MOD do I need to auto identify targets...suggested by Admiraltia in the same thread. I am using your NewUIs_TDC_6_9_0_BY DW. I can`t understand how I lost my default RM? It has always appeared with my XO `s RM. should I still remove all the dragables you mentioned even if I don`t have the TDW MOD Admiraltia mentioned.
I am totally lost here. I really don`t want to re-install SH5 and install all my current MODS again as they were all working. Another question; The XO gives me an AOB solution after I have entered the necessary perimeters...how dependable is this solution?
I hope you don`t give up on me, once I learn a solution to a problem I never forget it.

Which 'default' RM are you talking about? SOAN? Are you using my UIs mod?

The manual that comes out of the box with no MODS activated. It`s always on the left side of screen. Why didn`t the creators simply assign a key command for the RM as in SH 4?

There is no RM that comes out of the box on the left side of the screen with no mods activated. It sounds like you are talking about my SOAN. To reset it's draggable position go to your \Silent Hunter 5 folder and delete all the Pagex_Draggables.TDW files.

I recently remember draging the RM too far behind the left side of the screen with the dgraggable tab not showing...could that be the problem?

that'll do it. Page XO TDC or Page layout is the one that contains SOAN IIRC. It's always safe to delete all the Pagex_Draggables.tdw files as the mod will rebuild them at next game start

When should the RM ( SOAN ) be made accessible? After I press the space bar or when I click on the "follow target" option. Right now i`m still not getting it at all. It would be very helpful is someone could tell me when it should appear.

Click on the chart icon on the right side of screen and it will show. You can flick through it without ships targeted etc:up:

If you mark a target (space) and I think get WEPs to id:hmmm: when you open the soan it will be on the correct page.

Also with the soan, you can get extra information for most ships - click on the "more info" txt
