You don't need to be simply to donate :O:
Won't make a blind bit of difference. They'll just use other forms of "payment" to make sure they get their influence.

How much do you pay per month?

How much do you pay per month?
I'll guess 65%.:hmmm:
I think the big three should be fixed at the same amount. Smaller party's are different matter and they need not be fixed as they don't have the punching power of the big three.
Over to Cameron/Clegg for there in put.

But wouldn't they have to pay tax on the pies, unless they were served at ambient temperature.

Not sure but when I renewed my membership 3 years ago on the membership form it asked how much you earn, so I am wondering if it goes on how much you earn a year :hmmm:

No way...the beer at my local social club has just sky rocketed 20p a pinto to £1.35 :03:
Sussed it....I'm in receipt of a pension so I'll probably see it rise to £1.80 per month soon.

Brighams is one of only a few social clubs left in South Shields that is still doing ok, I remember a couple of years ago there was a documentary on TV about how social clubs are struggling to make ends meet and the tv cameras paid a visit to Brighams to show its not all doom and gloom for the CIU clubs as they had almost a million pound in the bank at the time. These days I do not get down town as much but we sometimes call in there for a few beers as they have the cheapest prices going (they only put the price up from a pound a pint a short while back) and the club is situated bang in the middle of the town centre so you only have a few yards to walk for a large selection of other pubs & clubs to choose from on your night out.
Pint of the best down here £5.03! :o

LONDON (Reuters) - The opposition Labour candidate for London Mayor said on Tuesday he would look to pension funds to help fund a new wave of rail and home building to cater for a booming population in Britain's capital if he wins a May 3 election.
Race underdog Ken Livingstone, who was London Mayor between 2000 and 2008, said he would have "a good chance of unlocking" the kind of investment the city needs to prepare for the future.
Way to loose votes Ken.
Pinching from the pension pot is not the way to do it.

I'm not so sure...if the pension funds are guaranteed a fixed income/return as they currently do in their property portfolios then why not?

But wouldn't the new rent caps negatively affect the income/return on the type of London investment properties the city badly needs?

As far as I'm aware property other than that in prime areas are currently bringing in low returns to the pension funds but there must be a lot of prime/blue ribbon sites in London capable of generating high returns.
I looked at a certain investment portfolio recently (mine to be honest) and was suprised to see the return on the property section was similar to the cash section and well below that of the fixed bonds section.
Mind you....the equities have had mega peaks and troughs in the past twelve months.
