What causes this? Does it affect crew performance? Crew members yelling frantically, etc.

Usually it happens to me after I've been caught on the surface by enemy air --- but the effects can linger for days or weeks.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance....

Ive never noticed paniced crew before, but I highly doubt it does anything.

You have tried to save and reload, haven't you? :hmmm:

I think this is one of those SH4 bugs. I had it happen myself after being attacked and taking damage. Even after the boat was repaired, the crew kept screaming their heads off for the rest of the patrol. There is a mod in the D/L section called "Stop The Shouting" The shortfall is, the crew won't sound excited even if bombs are dropping on their heads!

Yes, I have had the crew screaming after taking damage, a save/load fixes for me.

But with damage I take in some cases, I don't blame them. :D

Yeah, when I get into trouble, the crew doesn't yell that much. It's hard to yell after the compartments fill with water. :dead:

Oh well. Once the damage graphics looked like the whole stern of my sub had been torn out, and still I got propulsion, so...
