Hello folks, I recall in SH3 that one could tweak the weather configurations. I would like to do that in SH4 to see if I can get out of the current foul weather that I am experiencing, and which has been 'current' for about the last four or five game days. Very frustrating as I cannot see any targets even when they are close. Grr!

Please might you advise as to where I go and what to change to keep storms to a reasonable period of activity. Ta muchly

ps I am using TMO with RSRDC - and I have just spotted another thread on much the same subject....

and, I followed the advice given there to press Ctrl+N - and it worked!! Clear skies instantly. What does it do??

It resets the weather - no clouds, no precipitation, no fog, 0 m/sec winds. I remember in older environmental mods, however, that resetting the weather that way would produce visual artifacts at night - something similar to oversized stars/flares.

thank you DrBeast a gracious answer to a badly phrased question :salute:
HW3 - that'd be right :O:
Diopos, you are a treasure - why didn't I think of that!:DL

What I meant and should have made plain is 'what is the instruction given when pressing those keys'? ( why N rather than W for weather or R for reset for instance?). Anyway, curiosity satisfied.

DrBeast no strange anomalies noticed so far

There was an old post by Leovampire on how to tweak faster weather changes. These are incorporated in TMO 2.5. In a recent campaign, the weather changed from clear to heavy storm back to clear in 48 hours. One thing you have to watch is that high TC may slow down weather changes. I keep TC at a max of 256x.
