Hmmm - no one playing this one? I have had it for a bit and enjoy it. Yes, its rather linear, but most RPG's are. Its not as sandbox as something like Fallout 3, but its definitely not a bad game. I do like the "Destiny" leveling system - really adds some flexibility to your character since you can "reclass" at a cost.

Think it just passed under the radar really. Nothing particularly wrong with it, bit uninspired perhaps.

Bits of reading on RPS, including a review: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/tag/kingdoms-of-amalur-reckoning/

I think ZP expressed it best in his review. The game is kind of baby's first RPG in that it is really shallow. That isn't to say it's not a bad game either.

I've only got in 5 hours. But I'm enjoying it so far. It has potential.

I played the demo last night. The fighting reminded me alot of 'Divine Divinity Dragon knight Saga' which got really boring by the time I got about 3quaters of the way. KoAR does it better tho and the irish? accents of the npcs crack me up! Anyway this game must be popular as it has everything an RPGer would drool over. (fable lovers and questing fanatics) I just bought Mass Effect 3 now I wish I had gotten this game. I will get it in a week or two. :DL
