First let me thank all moders, you have done and are doing incredible job
Help please, I'm new to the game. I've been working on this for three days. :damn:
Game: SH IV 1.5 ( Gold) Mods:
Optical Targeting Correction OTC_SH15(1),
Aspect Ratio 16-9,
OTC Realistic Scope
OTC Radar From Start

After installing OTC_SH15(1) only, the Recognition manual is gone as well as any bearing tool. Question: Should it be there?. If so what have I done wrong.
Thx:damn:

Uninstalling SH 4 and mods and reinstalling did not help, new campaigns and sub school the same.
Solution: Added
TMO 2-5
OTC for TMO 2-5

Welcome aboard mate. I would back out of each installed mod, one at a time, while loading up SHIV on each count and find which mod is the culprit. Then, don't load that mod.

Patient: "Doctor, it hurts my finger when I go like this" (as he wiggles his index finger).
Doctor: "Don't go like that".:D

I uninstalled SH 4 and all Mods. ( among other attempts to rectify the situation.) I reinstalled SH 4 1.5 only. Had the Manual. Re downloaded OTC for SH 4 1.5 to be sure of there was no corrupted files from the first (and second and third download) Added only OTC SH 1.5. The manual was missing. The MOD is so good I want to use it. Capt S did a fantastic job.
At this point I am wondering if the manual should be there or not.
As I posted above, I installed another fantastic mod the TMO 2.5.
I then added OTC for TMO 2.5. I had the manual and the the bearing tool. Being that I am new to this I was working up to trying TMO. It probably was a good push.
Thanks for the feed back

Sorry to hear you've had trouble with the OTC mod for the stock game. I can't say why or how your Recognition Manual ended up missing. It sounds like you installed and reinstalled several times (with no difference of an outcome), which always is frustrating....... Yes, the Reconition Manual should be there!

If your using TMO 2.5 and the "1.5_Optical Targeting Correction 031312 for TMO 2.5" make sure you remove the older OTC optional mods that were from the stock game OTC download. These particular optional mods, like the "Realistic Scopes", or "Radar from Start", are meant only for the stock game. Their not to be used with a TMO version.

With TMO 2.5, use the optional mods that are in the "1.5_Optical Targeting Correction 031312 for TMO 2.5" download. There are differences, the stock set of optional mods won't work with the OTC for TMO mod. It's best to remove the older stock OTC mods from the JSGME's "MODS" folder completely, then re-install the optional versions that are in the OTC mod you intend to use.

One thing I noticed about your above listed mod list (Sorry to be coming in so late about this), you have an entry....."Aspect Ratio 16-9".

For the stock 1.5 game edition of Optical Targeting Correction this download has two different Aspect Ratios folders under just the one folder named "Aspect Ratio 16-9". In other words, the folder you have listed should not be placed directly into the JSGME "MODS" folder. The "Aspect Ratio 16-9" folder should be extracted to a separate place (like the desktop) and from there you copy/paste the particular 16:9 aspect ratio you wish to use. There are two different scope versions held within the "Aspect Ratio 16-9" folder. One contains the regular OTC scopes, the other has the "Realistic Scopes" option.

Since you apparently wished to use the "Realistic Scopes" option, your JSGME Activation list should have looked like this for a stock 1.5 game:

Optical Targeting Correction
OTC_Realistic Scopes for 16 to 9 Aspect Ratio
OTC_US Radar from Start

It would have been wise to have read the README to learn that extracting the "Aspect Ratio 16-9" folder straight to JSGME is not what you should do.

Sounds like you straightened out the issue by going to another mod. That's good. But for those wishing to use the stock game version of OTC be advised to follow instructions. Oh, and its always good to post a perceived problem in the thread that supports the mod in question. :salute:
