How the hell do i get new torpedoes??

I went on a succesful patrol and sunk 4 merchant ships and finished the patrol.

I saw a cut scene and its time to get out and patrol again.

I find a task force that ive been tracking. I do all the reading/identifying and try to fire but wait i have no torpedoes??

I assumed since the bloody boat has been in port and the crew had been debriefed that the boat whould be resupplied but nope.

Apparently i need to refit manually but how do i do this?

I keep clicking refit it will only read"refit complete" but nothing happens .

It said on some guide that i need to wait in port.

There was something mentioned about waiting 48 hours and then drag and click to get refitted but no. Nothing it wil still read the same.

If You are refiting in any port then go to You torp station (By default "T" key) and drag one of the torpedoes to torp tube and press refit again, That should help.

Ive been looking inside this tab "hotkey T" Torpstation but there is nothing there,nothing to click and nothing to drag .

But i noticed that my fuel has been refitted by default because i have a full fuel supply.Why could this be resupplied by default but not the torpedoes? lol.

But i really need help. Have no clue how to get new torpedoes.

Could you please explain it step by step and detail by detail? . Ok im heading back towards the base after a mission............

Nope its a Steam bought game plain Vanilla no modifications what so ever.

I bought a pack that included Silent Hunter 3,Silent Hunter Wolves of the pacific +Silent Hunter Wolves of the pacific U-Boat Missions and Silent Hunter 5.

It says on the start menu v1.3

So try to start a new campaign, fire a few torpedoes,( just fire them without target) and then go back to base and try to refit.

Ok i will try that im verifying the game cache aswell just in case.

But under perfect conditions how does this refiting process work?

The refiting process works like that:
If Youre internal tubes needs a torp then its loaded automaticly after you choose the refit button, but if You want full magazine of torpedoes You will have to refit and then go to torp station and drag one of the torp from internal magazines to tube and press refit again then You should had full house Mate.

I started a new campain fired a couple of ones of and refitted and they got refitted instantly.

Is my other campain glitched or something?

It is possible, maybe a game bug.
Try to emty all front tubes and all internal( if You want extra loading then call for battle stations) and then refit by my instructions, and let me know.

I restarted my campain and it still wont work.

Is it my sub possibly ? Im using the sub that have no backside torpedoes

Seriously i dont know because im running SH4 + U-Boat missions(includes 1.5 Patch) and i dont have this bugs.
Maybe You try balao class then I can tell You (Im running balao and no bugs found so far) Refiting is no problem.
Try this and log into skype then i will be able to help more.

For some reason it says v1.3 on the main menu but i recon its because i start the first game and not the U-boat missons maybe not sure though.In my library there are 2 seperate starts for each game listed. And i want to play the first part first . But im not sure about anything lol.

I started a brand new campain with a new Submarine from PEarl Harbor instead of the Asiatic Fleet thingy.

Not sure if this will do anything but i re tried fireing a tube then refitting and it works fine atm at least.

The latest pre-expansion pack version of SH4 was v1.4, with the U-boat expansion bringing it to v1.5. In other words, there should be no v1.3! Are you saying that the main game and the expansion are installed in different folders? That shouldn't happen, either, there should be just one folder, and when you run the game you should ALWAYS have v1.5 appear on the loading screen. I don't know how Steam handles that, to be honest, but this is the second time in just a few days that someone mentions "v1.3" when referring to a Steam version of this game :hmmm:

ETA: Just looked at the other thread where "v1.3" came up regarding the Steam version of this game, that poster solved his problem by doing a fresh install of the Uboat expansion. I'm afraid to say you'll keep running into weird issues such as this unless you do a clean install, too. Unfortunately, that means you'll lose your existing career.

Yea i have no clue either. Earlier it was the torpedo thing like stated above and now when i try to load my NEW career that i started after the refitting incident the game will freeze and thats several hours lol.

Im thinking that something might be wrong and im playing a older more buggy version of the game and the game has not updated like its supposed to properly.

There are two seperate installs for the main game and the Uboat expansion thingy however no matter which one i start it will still be the same pre menu loading screen.main menu screen and it will still say V 1.3 .

I uninstalled both of them and im reinstalling one at a time to try and eliminate any possible error during the installation process.

What i think happend was that i thought of these as two seperate games and wanted to complete the first one so when i started the first one it kind of got stuck at v1.3 and whould not update.

What infact i should have done is to have viewed both of these as one game and started the expansion part straight away.

Im not sure if that is the case but it kind of feels that way.

Yes, exactly. Even if you start up the Uboat Missions version, you still have a choice between Pacific ("old" game) and Atlantic campaign (the expansion). At least that's how the retail version works.
