Hi Folks,
Bought this when it came out but put it down for some time (until recently) due to the rediculous DRM. Didn't know it had been modified since but I thought it a shame to miss out on a game I really enjoy.
Anyway, I have a question regarding the missions and their availability. Is it dependent on campaign date or is there a specific action that triggers them?
I have finished supplies, blockade and the coastal water mission of the first campaign. The campaign date is 7 Feb 1940. I saw a few posts about a spy mission but there is nothing on the map indicating it (after finishing the last mission (did the carrier one last) and seeing no other I tooled out and did some recreational sinking, even scouted the Liverpool area to see if it would suddenly appear, lol). So, did I miss something or is it that I have to wait for a specific date for the mission to appear.
Thanks for any help, and yes this is a legally bought version connected to the Ubi servers, etc.

Campaigns (Total Germany etc) are set by date.
If you finish on before the date - you will be sent to the next straight away. Some campaigns are only playable if you get a total victory in the campaign prior.
Within each campaign are objectives. (coastal waters - sink the carrier etc)
These are also date set and some are only opened if you passed a prior objective.
Within each objective are missions (drop of spy etc)
You get these when you talk to the KMO and request mission.
You only get one per request.
So if you are out on an objective and also have a mission - you can do the misson and sink some of the shiops required for the objective.
When you run out of ammo and return to port - see the KMO again and request the same objective. This will give you a new misson.
You do not need to request mission each time, but it is the only way to get the missions. You can just stay out and shink ships for the objectives (never having clicked request mission) and they will count.

Thanks Trev, that helps. Now I think something may be wonky then. I have all the Iron Crosses save the last (presumably the spy mission). I've returned to the OB on multiple occasions and nothing is appearing. I may start the campaign over but I am loath to do that as I was doing pretty darn good on this one. Is there a way I can force that mission to appear because it is simply not doing it on its own (restarted game after returning to port, left / re-entered, nadda). I really wanna get that spy in Liverpool!!! (btw, is that mission a nod to an old WWII movie about the spy delivered by a U-Boat that attempts to kill Winston Churchill?)
Again, thanks for your help Trev.

The spy mission will not give you that last cross im afraid.
Spy style missions only ever give you renown points (spend on your boat upgrades and they count towards your campaign points).
So that missing cross is because you missed an objective worth 1 cross (could be that you skipped the tutorial:hmmm:). So now your campaign will end when you get to the end date or finish the last objective rather than getting all the crosses. This will not effect your career and you will continue as normal with a good victory:yep:
You could however edit your save game to tell it you have that extra cross:o
Edit: if you install OHII - you will get more mission like the spy one

Hmmm... I did do the tutorial mission, and I believe I remember receiving a cross for it... I took a look-see at the the save file and found this anomaly:
[CampaignProgress.MisResult 23]
IsEmpty=false
All the other .MisResult's are 'true'.
I don't know what it's in regards to, as I have all the crosses for the three I completed. I would hate to switch it without getting to actually sink something, but I am at a loss. :wah:
Thanks Trev, and nice forum folks! :salute:
