I pinched this off another forum who pinched it off another forum who....And so on.

Baldrick: “What I want to know sir, is before there was a euro there were lots of different types of money that different people used. And now there’s only one type of money that the foreign people use. And what I want to know is, how did we get from one state of affairs to the other state of affairs?”

Blackadder: “Baldrick. Do you mean, how did the euro start?”

Baldrick: “Yes, sir.”

Blackadder: “Well, you see Baldrick, back in the 1980s there were many different countries all running their own finances and using different types of money. On one side you had the major economies of France, Belgium, Holland and Germany; and on the other, the weaker nations of Spain, Greece, Ireland, Italy and Portugal. They got together and decided that it would be much easier for everyone if they could all use the same money, have one Central Bank, and belong to one large club where everyone would be happy. This meant that there could never be a situation whereby financial meltdown would lead to social unrest, wars and crises.”

Baldrick: “But this is sort of a crisis, isn’t it sir?”

Blackadder: “That’s right Baldrick. You see, there was only one slight flaw with the plan.”

Baldrick: “What was that then, sir?”

Blackadder: “It was bollocks.”

Bad timing. Worse execution. Lies and betrayals. and plenty of inflatioinary egos.

If you look at the historey of the Euro, then it is a history of breaking treaties it is folunded by, breaking laws, breaking proimises, teling lies, taking betrayals as truths, and stealing from the people of the European nations (plural, please).

The Euro is the biggest crime in the history of currencies and economies since Rome. The EU is the biggest disaster in Europe since WWII.

And here is a subjective essay in German language on the recent enforced (nevertheless labelled "voluntary") exchange of old Greek bonds for worthless new bonds (20 of them, with service times increased from 2 to 20 and 30 years). Useful idiots who in 2010 believed the politicians unscrupulous lies about how well Greece rescue is going, lose over 85% of the money they invested in Greek bonds for idelaism about the European idea. My pityful feelings for them is limited, however - there is no excuse for believing politicians, even not pro-European idealism.

Die griechische Lektion - Entrechtet und enteignet (http://www.welt.de/finanzen/geldanlage/article13928914/Die-griechische-Lektion-entrechtet-und-enteignet.html)

The whole Euro story - a record of broken laws, broken rules, broken treaties, promises, plus lies and betrayals. A ripping-off of citizens in European nations.

To me, Euro- and EU-related politics are nothing else but faces of what usually gets labelled as "organised crime". Treaties and laws of the EU are not worth to invest any trust in at all. This became clear at the latest by the conspiratory manouveringh over the European constitution and the final coup of Lisbon.

For the sake of freedom and Europe - to hell with Euro and EU.

I admit when it comes to the Euro and EU politics, I have lost all sense of humour. Laughing you only do as long as you do not bleed to death.
