Since I downloaded TDWs UI Mod, I have found myself unable to sink anything. I spend hours drawing lines and angles, wait for the freighter to enter my firing solution, and then suddenly my torpedoes go off in the wrong direction: or they skim the bow, or dredge behind the stern. :damn:

Hi,
you are not alone. Despite much training and doing exactly like in the manuals and readmes my torpedoes almost always run by close BEFORE the bow. There must be something wrong .. maybe torpedo speed ?

I have a mod that can check your solution in the TDC before you fire.
There are 3 type of checks the mod can do:-


1. TDC Checker
This will check your setting in the TDC to ensure it is correct.
This is good when you are learning manual targeting and want conformation your solution is good.

2. AOB Range Finder
This will tell you the target range and AOB when you lock onto target.

3. Solution Finder
This will give you extra information, AOB, Range and Speed. It will also take you through the steps for setting your TDC correctly ready to fire.

See post 2 for guide on how to use the Solution Finder.


All these scripts must be run from your automation page within TDW's UI mod.
Click automation - tutorials - sub - (AOB Range Finder) or (TDC Checker) or (Solution Finder)
You MUST lock onto target.

I have had a CTD three times now when clicking on the tutorial. :wah:


EDIT: I pulled back the Icebergs and Open Horizons II mods, and that seems to have made it stable. If only it worked properly... or I really am the worst U-boat commander ever. =/

Nevermind. It still crashes.
