UK Prime Minister David Cameron has arrived at the White House for talks with US President Barack Obama.
Mr Cameron and his wife Samantha received a 19-gun salute on the South Lawn of the White House ahead of talks on Afghanistan, Syria and other issues.

Reminded me of someone who once described how her father, a fervent GOP supporter who felt betaryed by Richard Nixon, reacted when watching Nixon's funeral on TV; as the honor guard prepared to fire a 21 gun salute, her father shouted at the screen "Aim at the coffin! Make sure the SOB is dead!"...
