Generally speaking yes they will. The only one I know that won't isn't really a mod, it's the patch for the sh5.exe that makes the hydrophone work correctly (when you're using the hydrophone. It works just fine in the stock version as long as you leave it to your hydrophone guy). Everything else should work just fine. At least it did for me while I had the Steam version.

Loaded question, my friend. :DL
Best suggestion I can give is to check out this thread.

It's a great place to start and, as you hopefully get involved with our community and find more "neato" stuff you want to add, you can always add more. You don't have to add everything you need before you can start enjoying this great sim. As a matter of fact, "everything you need" is very much a developing concept around here. I still haven't found out myself :)
Trevally's thread linked above is a great place to start. That's how I did it myself. The next thing I did, once my modding itch got too hard to resist scratching, was to ask around for other SubSimmers' loadouts, but I recommend that you start out "light" and get a feel for the game and what you think is "still missing."
But have fun trying it out. Remember, if you run into a problem, we're all more than happy to help.
A few words of guidance:
DO read ALL of the JSGME help guide. It's vitally important that you extract and place your mod files and folders exactly the way they're supposed to go. If you don't, nothing will work. Thankfully, that guide is very short :DL
DO read the readme files offered by the modders. They'll contain useful info about how to use them, what they do and what other mods they might conflict with and how to resolve that issue.
Keep in mind that the order that you load mods in is important. Two mods may work beautifully together if you load A followed by B, but create an unholy mess if you load B followed by A. Don't despair. We're here to help! We welcome you here, we want you to stay and we want you to have the time of your life. :salute:
Finally: Where are my manners?
WELCOME ABOARD, Herr Kaleun.
SINK THEM ALL! :D
