There is no leader of anonymous.

Anonymous is like the Zerg, or the Borg. They exist. There is no leader, anyone who claims he is, is a poser. They (anon) act on impulse rather than orders, which is why I know this is bullcrap.

I know this entity, trust me.

But anyways, enjoy the feelgood story. Threats over, time to go back to normal sloppy online life.:)

Enjoy! Anonymous is so done!:yeah:

Only Moot can claim leader of anon, even he will be told to go fornicate with himself.

Late late edit: if you do not know what a Moot is, then restrain on commenting on anonymous.
They are more a hive, than a group.

Lets be honest here, anonymous's top 1% does 99% of the work
eliminate the 1%, and it will be extremely damaging

After all, most of the people with that kind of skill is either a security professional, or an actual criminal.

Anonymous does not exactly have a large pool to draw from.

Also, if these guys get hit with really tough sentences, than it would discourage future people from participating

Low orbital Ion cannon does all the work. It can be mass connected.
Any moron can operate a cluster.

I understand if you don't understand. But there is more than just a few geniuses. More than can be scooped up by dummy feds who's own computers were brought down by such a simple program..

I am not justifying their tactics, simply saying is easier to pull off most this crap than you think.

I'm familiar with LOIC, saw the source too, but really it is little more than an annoyance.

I'm thinking about the 1% that actually hacks sites, dump stolen data etc.

the amount of people with this skill set is already small, the amount that sympathize with anonymous is smaller.

If the cops turn up the heat, this kind of this might disappear

How do I know? the exact same thing came up in china a few years back to protest the great firewall

the ringleaders were caught and was sent to jail, and the whole movement collapsed. Mind you, there were much stronger than anonymous now, they had like 99% support, and experienced internet criminals were participating in it, one of whom hacked the White House in 2001

Showtrials and tough sentences don't really discourage that type of people. Also, fighting against anon with these methods is more likely to cause more backlash than anything else, but meh. Not that people shouldn't be held to account before the law, they should, but to turn this into a large show will make the mater worse before it makes it any better.
