No, as a "Ghost Recon Classic" player, I strongly dislike this modern Ubi-Crap and boycott this. Heck, I wouldnt even play a pirated version of it!
Maybe it is a nice shooter for arcade/casual gamers - but this software does not deserve the title GHOST RECON thats for sure!
I miss the old days guys, I miss them... :nope:

I agree with you that they shouldn't have kept the "Ghost Recon" name, although keeping Tom Clancy wouldn't be so bad.
As for the hate of Ubi, I feel their nowhere near as bad as EA or Activision, but then again I buy their products for my PS3 and don't really have to deal with their draconian DRM.
While they do have a habit of breaking old titles and treating PC gamers like crap, they have some pretty nice titles, such as Assassin's Creed, Outland, Dust, and I am Alive(well I am Alive isn't out yet, so it could still be bad, but still).
On top of that(at least in the Ass Creed Franchise) they seem to listen to their customers, as each new game adds things that fans wanted, and while the U-play thing seems like a way to keep you always online for the PC, on the console it's a nice way to unlock(especially in other games as the points are universal) little bonuses.
I do agree with you both, BUT it has way more stealth and tactics than any Activision game, sure it's not the same unfortunately. Maybe some of the computer whizzes could make a compromise? Best parts of classics, and add some of the things from Future Soldier?

Yes.
Ghost recon and Island thunder are tops. Never played the games after it. GRFS will be the first. (providing it will run on my pc!)
Considering. Depends on what it's like. If it even nearly resembles the old, the one and only, the first Ghost Recon, I will buy it. Or even if it captures and treasures the original Ghost Recon's idea and feeling.
If it's Call of Ghost Recon, Medal of Ghost Recon, Battlefield Ghost Recon or *anyotherarcadeshootergame* Ghost Recon, I will not buy it.
And even if it isn't decent, it would always be better than COD, because of development time. 3 years against 7 months...

IL2 Cliffs of Dover
Duke Nukem Forever
Alan Wake
I rest my case.

Cod doesn't get developed, it just gets rehashed.
And no, I don't so futuristic things - I may consider NWAC though.

Duke Nukem Forever
Count me in the numbers of chumps who spent good money on this abomination. What a sad thing to do to a great series. :nope:

I loved Duke Nukem in 1999/2000 - in a tent with temps anywhere between 10 and -29ºC with two players on a PS, with a black bin liner taped down the middle of a 14" portable TV so you couldn't cheat. We used to play Downhill Mountain Biking this way too, but removed the bin liner for Worms. :D
DN doesn't appeal now though. At least not to me. :O:
