Two sides to every story and somewhere in between lies the truth.

I'm not ready to pull out the jump to conclusions mat because some suit wearing dude in Lebanon with unsubstantiated and unproven credibility makes accusations on some opinion piece broadcasted by some foreign noname news source.

Video aside, the fighting in Syria does somewhat remind me of Afganistan in the 80's

If we are supporting the bad guy, then it wouldn't be the first time.

Personally I question who's good, who's bad, by who's standards do we use to make that determination, and what makes those standards any more credible then the others.

edit: How I do like to toss that thought out every now and then. :O:

The guy seems to represent Hezbollah/Iranian stance on Syria(wearing suit lol).
Not that there is no truth in what he says....
Its a confusing situation:haha:

Well I'd wager some of those "freedom fighters" coming against the Russian, Iranian backed Assad regime. Are supported by U.S., Euro allies in the name of freedom and democracy just like in Libyia, and Afganistan. In fact I'd bet these freedom fighters were just yesterday called terrorists.

Just as well as you havn't walked the walk as a suit wearing Lebanese political analyst:woot:

with unsubstantiated and unproven credibility

Did you call it unsubstantiated or question his credibility when Voice Of America broadcasts his pieces?

broadcasted by some foreign noname news source.
Errrr....it is Russia Today which is a well known named newssource which some would say fulfills the same role as Voice of America.

But in essence it is a piece carried by a pro Putin media outlet by a "think tank" which has a history of being pro Iran and pro Syria.

(Pst, you took the wrong door. This is the internet. You want the second door on the left for real life. Cookies and refreshments are served next to the first door on the left, help yourself on your way out.)

US supporting the bad guy ?

It's frequent !

Remember :

- Ho Chi Minh
- Ferdinand Marcos
- Manuel Noriega
- Osama bin Laden

After helping United States (or being helped by the US), these men became the "black sheep" for Washington ...

What a perspicacity !

I think that up till second Iraqi war USA did a good job in channeling ME anger and it did not coast so much money vs the benefits.

Clueless:har:
The extremists need the big end of the world war to get their magic temple built, you can't have an end of the world war if you stop the opposing nuts getting the weapons.

yes those, though no need to practice all three, for one of them you just have to suddenly stop being Jewish as it all kicks off to make the magic work
