I appologise if this has been answered somewhere else but I could not find it.

I have watched the 'Lets Play SH3' videos on Youtube (by Frontier359) and I would like to know which mod is used to give the attack scope view in the video (See 11min 30sec into: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_bEXDx8Csc&feature=BFa&list=UUKBiF9yxAXZwSvsFn0prfgA&lf=plcp ). It has the torpedo controls (depth, speed, giro etc.) to the right of the scope which is obviously not in the vanilla version. In addition there are the U-boot controls (speed, direction etc.) to the left of screen (vertical column). I have the 'GWX' & 'Commander' mods and JSGME. All fantastic tools and very much appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Welcome aboard! That will be the OLC Gui Mod. I've just installed it myself it is awesome.

Check out the observation scope on this mod, its HUUUGE.

Yes the OLC GUI mod is great. You can install it over GWX too, if that's what you are running.

One thing I particularly like about it is the fact it makes the observation scope useful again (it has a higher zoom level than the attack scope). It takes a bit of practice to move from one scope to the other, but it's fun :)

Thanks, guys. Now the tricky part. Is there another location (apart from Subsim) that I can download it from? The work's filter keeps blocking me.:arrgh!:

I think that I have got around the problem of downloading. So, can anyone inform me of whether the OLC GUI 1.2.7 or OLC GUI 'Gold' is the most recent version? I have located the 1.2.7 version on the Downloads page uploaded on the 03-17-2010 but cannot see the 'Gold' version.

OLC 1.2.7 is way old. Gold mkIIc or mkIId is what you need.

The Gold download for version mkIIc is here at Subsim. There should also be an update to mkIId somewhere, or a complete download for mkIId.
