Danica Patrick sucks.

Truly looks great in a bikini, but drives a car as if she is looking to wreck.

She wrecks and always blames someone else, she is a cute (not hot) girl so she gets excused, because Nascar cannot be sexist.

In IRL (indy racing). when you rubbed you were dead, the car is too fragile, but someone teach the princess that you can rub in nascar and keep racing. Not pull yourself out and blame your team mate. (dropped f bombs over the radio)

Someone from the south (of whom I respect Nascar opinions from) please tell me why she is anything but a bikini girl for the sport.

She came from IRL , where a slight rub will wreck your car. But she needs to learn the limit of the machine, before playing with the big boys.

I would think racing with Tony Stewart would give her some balls. At least a shadow of the balls he has.

This is her first full season, the last few were only part time while she still was in IRL. so that instinct to avoid contact at all costs was still there. I listened to pti the other day where she even stated that's her biggest weakness is that and she's working on it.

I don think she's any worse than half of the guys there. The eye candy is worth watching though.

Your analysis is way off here. Your acting like she can't drive at speed and is a wreck waiting to happen.

She holds the record for consecutive finishes in IRL at 50. The next closest to her is 32. That is NOT a driver who can't keep a car off the wall.

Yes, she - like every other driver that comes from open wheel racing - has a lot of learning to do. The learning curve is very large, and she will have to adapt to getting rubbed and tapped. No different than say, Juan Pablo Montoya when he first mde the switch. In fact, where she has a window to learn in - JPM has already shown he has gone too far on the contact scale, and he IS a wreck waiting to happen.

The problem I have with Danica isn't her looks, or her driving ability. Its how she is being used as a marketing tool by nascar and godaddy. She has a contact that she has to live by, and it uses her looks to full effect. Nascar is a marketing beast, and so they are going to put her in front of the camera anytime they can. She signed the contract and knew what was coming, so she shares the blame.

Is she the best driver out there? No - but her record shows she is at least as good as many of the lower tier drivers on the circuit, and she may with seat time turn into a much better one. Maybe, maybe not. Dislike the marketing all you want - I do - but give her a full season to adapt, then see where she is next year. Don't have expectations the media wants to build.

I do not hate the girl. I just want to see her do something before she is hyped. Reminds me of (Dale) JR. hyped before doing anything of note.


Danica would kick my ass in a racecar, but I am a construction worker. I would kick her ass in a backhoe, or front end loader.

She is good at driving, and good enough for NASCAR, just not worthy of the attention.

Tony Stewart is funny as hell in interviews, and rocks on the track, thats my boy. Tony stated he would wreck his own mother to win. Danica got nothing on that.

Well she wrecked again - partially her fault -she panicked when JJ ate the wall ahead of her.

Still - remember what I said about JPM? The moron just hit a jetdryer truck...... Its under caution and he rams a truck that is up against the wall - hard enough to set the truck and the track on fire! He isn't a wreck waiting to happen - he is a wreck going to happen - one way or the other. He will make sure of it!

In miss Patricks defense the guy that hit her was a rookie (and her own teamate).. She caught flack for dropping f-bombs on the radio over it.
She needs to learn how to take a little rubbing. She seems to wreck alot.

She saw the wreck and kind of came down on the guy to her inside. The video from in her car has audio where her spotter told her "inside" meaning someone was there - she drifted down anyways, made contact and got squirly.

Its a moot point because she really had nowhere to go, either way she along with a few others were going to hit someone or get hit.

What is funny is how they are now claiming something "broke" on JPM's car that made him lose it and hit the jet dryer. Only thing broke in that car was the driver.
