I welcome our new robotic overlords. They could not possibly do a worse job than we have done.
What you think about this?
Is it self-lubricating was my first thought. :hmmm:

We're getting closer to the world of Chobits than I thought. :hmmm:
Making one of them can't be half as much fun as making a real human.:hmmm:

Watching the first 48 seconds of it, and it's clearly obvious Japans taking their life size love dolls (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dH97GbkagBw) to the next level.
She looks rather fed up, that's all we need.

Until they can walk and carry machine guns, I'm not concerned. This one just sits there and blinks a lot.

Walking and shooting are the next logical steps. Next thing you know myomer bundles will be invented and that lifelike robot will be four stories tall, wielding a 203mm autocannon, and sporting MLRS systems on it's shoulders. :D
I'll start to worry when they learn to drink and smoke. :-?

Do you think the U.S. might have been working on a counterpart to the Japanese model?:

No matter how hard the engineers try the mechanical robot still does not and will probably never achieve the fluid movement of the human robot.
Unfortunately they forgot to install the Artificial Intelligence.
Artificial or natural, there was none present...
