OK, I have installed a bunch of mods from the nice stickies at the top. Here is my mod list:

I figured installing a TDC UI mod would give me a TDC? Any hints on how to access the TDC for manual torpedo firing?

When in scope view - look at the torp control box.
Click either min or full dials

I have a question related to the same UI mod and TDC....?

Is it possible to have both the WO SH5 TDC and the full dials ala SH3.?

It would be great to occasionaly simulate calling out the info to your WO and other times manually set the dials yourself as the WO would.

Do you mean like this?

To answer Maillemaker's question, the SH5 TDC is the box that appears around the WO when you lock a target, as in the screenshot above. All of the underlined elements listed: bearing, range, speed and AOB can be changed if you click on them, either using the dialog or typing the number in directly.

This is one of the things I like about SH5 since you can directly input a manual solution. In SH4, you can only input data into the TDC indirectly by manipulating the dials. "Easy AOB" makes it easier, but I still prefer the SH5 approach.

OK, I've done something wrong with the mod then.

I have copied it into the MODS dir and enabled it with JSGME.

I've opened used the app to open the following files:

C:\Steam\steamapps\common\silent hunter 5\MODS\NewUIs_TDC_6_9_0_ByTheDarkWraith\Text\Engli sh\menu.txt

C:\Steam\steamapps\common\silent hunter 5\MODS\NewUIs_TDC_6_9_0_ByTheDarkWraith\MODS\NewUI s_TDC_6_9_0_ByTheDarkWraith\data\Scripts\Menu\TheD arkWraithAutomation.py

I've set my SH install dir.

I changed the TDC options so I had full dials in all scopes.

But when I go into my scopes, I don't see any option for dials at all.

Hi Maillemaker, I had a similar problem when I incorrectly installed the mod. I made the mistake of unzipping the whole download into the MODS folder. After rereading TDW's thread, I unzipped the download to my desktop, then opened the MOD folder it contained and copied across the base the file (NewUIs_TDC_6_9_0_ByTheDarkWraith) plus a couple of the optional mod files into my JSGME MODS folder and then activated them. I ran the game and all was working.

I hope this helps.

This is very likely Maillemaker: often mods come in multiple folders, and it's not always clear which one to install. Always go through the file structure of a mod before installing it to make sure you're not looking at a 'parent' folder containing four or five separate mods.

Easiest way to check: if it's a proper mod, the first folder inside should be called 'data'. If not, then the mod itself is deeper in the file!

OK, sorry, I think the actual thread on this mod is over 500 pages long.

This mod does have multiple nested mods.

You are saying that each sub-mod needs to be copied into the MODS folder and activated via JSGME separately?

Yes and dont forget before you enable them to go to NewUIs_TDC_6_9_0_ByTheDarkWraith\MODS\NewUIs_TDC_6 _9_0_ByTheDarkWraith\data\Applications\
and check out all the apps for the mod .

I never saw one. Makes it seem unrealistic.

Not ALL of them! Just the ones you want to use, read the documentation in the main MOD folder and any in the sub folders.

Time to get your hammer out and start that modding!
Welcome aboard sonny, don't leave your stuff on Bernard's bunk.

That's what I did, but it seems to me that you can copy them all in and just activate the ones you want with JSGME.
