View Full Version : Gotta Question regarding Upgrades

Okay,
I just got back to base, it's late Jan, 1940. I know there are some broken aspects to the upgrades, all of them I guess. So I've been tossing around the idea of adding in a mod to fix some of the upgrade issues. :hmmm:
I guess my question is; are the upgrade issues bad enough to warrant installing a mod for it? If I do not install a mod to fix this, will I get upgrades??
I see a lot of people I respect a lot that don't use an upgrade fix so, is it really needed?

What is your mod load out, currently?

I use the equipment upgrade mod and the equipment upgrade patch mod. I did notice more historical upgrades were available after my first mission or so. Some release dates are off, but what I did was print off the equipment upgrades date JPEG that comes with mod. You will notice snorkel is available right away and with another mod I have it makes all the torpedo available. I don't know if it has been fix since I got mod soup in order. I haven't returned from a patrol yet.

Equipment mod also adds 10.5 cm deck gun for upgrade and patched version adds Nozaurio's paint schemes for all VII u-boats.

I also us Nauticalwolf's_Damage_and_Torpedo_UI(g)_Mod_v1.1 with this mod.

I like the equipment mod it adds more elements to game. Just remember if you want to keep historical print of the JPEG and follow the dates for upgrades, until future fixes of the mod the dates on a few things are off.

My most important mods are the Dyn Environment series, Mighty Fine Crew with the Hotfix and add crew commands, Most all of TDW's stuff IE; The UIs mod, IRAI and FX, I'm saving his campaign mods for later (sort of my way of prolonging the game). Those are the big ones, I have several more like Accurate flags, A Lifeboats mod but the ones I'm really worried about are TDW's mods the Environment mods and the Mighty Fine Crew mods.
If the Equipment Upgrades doesn't mess with these then I'm gonna' load it up. Once I load up this upgrade mod I don't think it's the type of mod which JSGME will disable cleanly if you know what I mean.
You've given' me a bit more confidence in the mod already. I tried to read up as much as I could but I still wasn't sure if I was going to mess up my more important ingredients.
If you still want to see my mod loadout I'll post it next.
